The Intel Modular Server is a business-in-a-box server system with seamless installation, migration, and growth capabilities. It has the ability to support up to six Server Compute Modules and 14 SAS 2.5” hard disk drives, as well as two Ethernet Switch Modules, integrated SAN, and a Management Module. The Intel Modular Server is a flexible and powerful system for the small to mid-size business.

The VMware software provides an all-in-one solution for small offices to virtualize three physical servers and reduce hardware costs while ensuring high application availability and data protection. It delivers the performance and reliability of enterprise class solutions yet is perfect for small IT environments. The solution is ideal for small businesses and branch offices (<20 servers) and new companies just starting their adoption of virtualization.

The optional DotHill shared storage features a 2U 24-drive array providing an iSCSI interface to internal SAS or SATA disk drives and an external SAS interface to one or more expansion units. It comes populated with 10,000rpm drives and offers the capability to mix both SATA and SAS technology within a single disk enclosure. DotHill also offers as standard 16 snapshots expandable to 56 snapshots.
